L-EAF wanted a more organized way to manage their finances and identify trends throughout the year and into future years.

The Task

Our Contingencies & Solutions

No prior experience with financial modeling: We recognized the need to understand how financial models work before diving in—so we took initiative. Through extensive research on startups and financial modeling across various sources, we gained a solid foundation within a few weeks.

Faced with disorganized and incomplete data: We tackled the challenge by creating a user-friendly, template-style system that allows L-EAF to easily input and manage financial data as it becomes available.

Our Deliverable

We created an easy-to-use financial template for L-EAF, allowing them to input data into revenue, expense, cash flow, and profit/loss sheets. Each sheet is fully equipped with built-in formulas, eliminating the need for manual calculations and making financial tracking seamless.

A financial spreadsheet showing revenue figures for 15 different revenue categories over 12 months and a total, with all values at $0.00.

Example 2: Revenue Model Graph

All data entered by L-EAF in the revenue model above is automatically reflected in the chart below, providing a visual representation of financial trends throughout the year.

A financial spreadsheet showing income, expenses, total income, total expenses, and profit or loss for three years, with each year having 15 income and 15 expense categories, all with initial zero values.

Example 1: Revenue Model

This is an example of one of the financial models we created. It includes placeholder text for various revenue streams, which L-EAF can customize based on their needs. The $0.00 placeholders are also editable, allowing for easy input of actual figures.

A line chart showing revenue across 15 different categories over 12 months with most lines close to zero, some with slight fluctuations.

Example 3: Profit/Loss Statement

This is another example of the financial statements we created.

The Profit & Loss Statement allows users to enter various revenue streams and expenses to determine whether there is a profit or loss.
