Bachelor's: Math-Computer Science; Music | Master's: Computer Science l Cornell University
I graduated with an ScB in math-CS and an AB in music from Brown, and will be pursuing a master's in computer science at Cornell, with the goal of focusing on AI and computational biology. On the music side of things, I play the pipe organ and occasionally substitute as organist at local churches. I also compose; in fact, I was commissioned by the Falmouth Chorale to write a choral and organ piece based on a psalm, which they performed in a concert of New England composers. At Brown, I was involved in the Madrigals, a classical a cappella group which I music-directed for two years, and Fermata, the composers' collective.
I also was a teaching assistant for introduction to music theory, the accelerated introduction to computer science, and discrete math. Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed helping people learn and understand concepts. This is a highly transferrable skill that I hope to further develop at the L-EAF Lab and bring to future careers in computational biology and church music director.
